Funke ATR833 Bluetooth adapter – with the SD-Link solutions you can seamlessly connect your radio with SkyDemon, Sky-Map, VFRnav or XCSoar.
Whether standard, angled, dual-source or pigtail: we show you which variant suits your cockpit.
Important: ATR833-S, ATR833-A, ATR833-II-OLED are supported from software SW 5.8.
Older versions (≤ 5.7) are not compatible. First supported serial number: 40131610 (2010)
Tip:: The last two digits of the serial number = year of production.
The standard solution: SD-ATR833-E
Plug-and-play adapter between the radio and the D-Sub connector – without additional cabling or mechanical work. Set standby/active frequencies directly from the app via BLE.
SD-Link ATR833-E
Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) adapter for ATR833 VHF radios. Enables connection to SkyDemon navigation software. Easy installation, 12V and 24V power supply. For experimental use only!
Space-saving angled: SD-ATR833-A (Angled)
For tight installation spaces behind the panel. Identical functions as SD-ATR833-E, but in angled Design – optional UP or DOWN.
SD-Link ATR833-A (Angled)
Angled Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) adapter for ATR833 VHF radios. Enables connection to SkyDemon navigation software. Easy installation, 12V and 24V power supply. For experimental use only!
For EFIS integration: SD-ATR833-DS (Dual Source)
For cockpits with existing EFIS connection to the radio (e.g. Garmin G3X, Dynon, Nesis).
SkyDemon & EFIS parallel use – simply plug in the adapter – done.
SD-Link ATR833-DS
Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) adapter for ATR833 VHF radios. Enables connection to SkyDemon navigation software. EFIS support. Easy installation, 12V and 24V power supply. For experimental use only!
For the wiring harness: SD-Link Universal (E / DS)
The SD-Link Universal Adapter is an extremely compact Bluetooth to RS232 adapter (BLE 5.0) for wireless wiring harnesses.
In the dual-source (DS) variant, it can also be operated in parallel with an existing EFIS.
He offers one direct plug-and-play solution for funke cable harnesses with 9-pin remote socket:
The pin assignment corresponds exactly to the remote connector of the models ATR833S, ATR833-II and ATR833A-II.
Special case binder socket: PigTail PT-GENERIC-BSK833-1
Some ATR833 wiring harnesses have a 9-pin remote socket instead of a 5-pin Binder socket. So that these installations also meet the SD-Link Universal (E/DS) can use, there is the PigTail PT-GENERIC-BSK833-1 as a tailor-made adapter solution.
- Adapter function: connects 5-pin Binder socket with the SD-Link Universal
- Compatible wiring harnesses (Binder 5-pin): BSKS833S, BSKS833D, BSKS833OE, BSKS833GLS, BSKS833GLD
- Plug and Play: pre-assembled; secure fixation with Conec Latch & Binder Lock
PigTail SD-GENERIC for Funke wiring harness with binder socket – PT-GENERIC-BSK833-1
Allows the connection of an SD-GENERIC adapter to an original Funke wiring harness with a 5-pin Binder socket. Plug and play. For experimental use only!

FAQ
-
How do I know if my ATR833 is compatible?
Devices supported from SW 5.8.
First supported serial number: 40131610 (Production year 2010).
Older versions (≤ 5.7) are not compatible and may require a software update from the manufacturer.
Tip: The last two digits of the serial number indicate the year of production. -
SD-ATR833-E or SD-ATR833-A (Angled)?
Both adapters are technically identical and can be used plug-and-play.
The Angled variant is designed for installations with limited space behind the radio and is angled either upwards (UP) or downwards (DOWN).
Note: The connector orientation varies depending on the radio model – please check the orientation before ordering (see overview table in the product gallery). -
What are the benefits of “Dual Source” (DS)?
Dual-source technology You can SkyDemon & EFIS parallel use.
Existing EFIS data cables (e.g. Garmin G3X, Dynon, Nesis) remain intact – the adapter is simply plugged in between.
This allows you to benefit from SkyDemon integration without losing your existing avionics cabling. -
When do I need the PigTail PT-GENERIC-BSK833-1?
If your ATR833 wiring harness has a 5-pin Binder socket instead of a 9-pin remote socket.
In this case, the PigTail is placed between the wiring harness and SD-Link Universal Adapter plugged.
This means that the plug-and-play function is retained even with older wiring harness variants. -
Which apps are the adapters compatible with?
All SD-Link TRIG adapters are tested and compatible with the following navigation apps:
- SkyDemon
- Sky Map
- VFRnav
- XCSoar
💡 Tip: In SkyDemon for TY91/TY92 select the device type “Garmin GTR225 Compatible”. -
Do you also support other radio devices?
Yes, in addition to the funke ATR833 there are SD-Link adapters for other devices:
- uAvionix AV-30
- Becker AR620X (NG version)
- TQ KRT2 (also angled)
- TRIG TY91/92
