This adapter works as adapter and is simply plugged between the radio and the Sub-D connector of a funke ATR-833 VHF transceiver – without additional wiring or mechanical workYou can then set the standby and active frequencies of your radio directly from the SkyDemon App via Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE).
In addition, the adapter offers Pin 9 of the outgoing connector a V24 data interface (Multi-Drop) for connecting additional devices. This allows you to PnP solution For example, integrate autopilots or AV-30 displays – an optional extension for technology enthusiasts.

Compatibility: Designed for the Funke ATR833 VHF transceiver. Compatible with the ATR833-S, ATR833-A, and ATR833-II OLED. Works with SkyDemon on Android and iOS.
Please note: The adapter is only with radios from software version SW 5.8 Older versions (SW 5.7 and lower) are unsupported.
You can tell whether your device was already delivered with SW 5.8 by the Serial number – the first supported unit carries the S-No. 40131610 (Production year 2010).
💡 Tip: The last two digits of the serial number indicate the year of manufacture. Devices with lower serial numbers may require a software update from the manufacturer. - Simple installation: The adapter is simply plugged between the existing cabling and holds securely to the housing thanks to the Conec Latch system.
- Power supply: No additional power supply, handles board voltages up to 28 V. An integrated fuse provides additional protection – the radio remains operational.
- Requirements: Works with radios on the 12 V and 24 V avionics bus.
- No additional mechanical work required: Just plug it in and get started.
- Compact design: Dimensions (59 x 50 x 17) mm, weight: 60 g.

The adapter works flawlessly and fits perfectly. A quick tip for other users: On my Samsung S25 with Android, I had to enable location services for the adapter to be found immediately. With only Bluetooth enabled, my smartphone didn't detect the adapter for several minutes. As soon as I enabled location services, it was found within seconds, and adding it was seamless.
Reconnecting after turning off the radio or smartphone also works perfectly – the devices connect automatically and the frequency is transmitted immediately.
