TRIG™ TY96 / TY97 Bluetooth Adapter for SkyDemon / Sky-Map / VFRnav / XCsoar – SD-TY96/97-DS

The SD-TY96/97-DS is a compact Bluetooth adapter, which can be easily connected between the existing TRIG Sub-D connector and the mounting tray of the TRIG™ TY96/TY97 VHF transceivers After installation, you can Standby and active frequencies directly from the SkyDemon app via Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE).
As radio type you have to choose in SkyDemon “Garmin GTR225 Compatible” There is no separate device type for the TRIG TY96/97 in the menu.

The adapter also works if an EFIS (Dynon, G3X, etc.) is already connected to the radio! We call this feature “Dual-Source” (DS).

Heads-up: This is not a plug-and-play adapter! The adapter must be mounted to the radio's mounting tray using two screws. Two screws on the existing connector must also be replaced for the mounting brackets. We call this "screw-and-play." However, you don't need to solder or change any of the existing wiring.
