f.u.n.k.e ATR833 Bluetooth adapter for SkyDemon, Sky-Map and other navigation apps — SD-ATR833-E.
The adapter functions as adapter and is simply connected between the radio and the Sub-D connector of a f.u.n.k.e ATR833 Plug in your VHF transceiver — no additional cabling or mechanical work required. Then, set your radio's standby and active frequencies directly from the app via Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE).
In addition, the adapter offers Pin 9 of the outgoing connector a V24 data interface (Multi-Drop) for additional devices. This PnP solution allows, for example, the integration of an autopilot or AV-30 display — an optional expansion.
Key Features
- Compatibility: developed for f.u.n.k.e ATR833. Compatible with ATR833-S, ATR833-A and ATR833-II-OLED, compatible with Android and iOS. Usable only with radios running software version SW 5.8 or higher — older versions (SW 5.7 and lower) are not supported. You can check if your device has SW 5.8 by looking at the serial number: the first supported unit has serial number 40131610 (production year 2010). Tip: The last two digits of the serial number indicate the production year — devices with lower numbers may require a software update from the manufacturer.
- Simple installation: The adapter is plugged into the existing wiring and stays securely attached to the housing thanks to the Conec-Latch system.
- Power supply: No additional power supply required; processes on-board voltages up to 28 V. An integrated fuse protects in case of a fault — the radio remains operational.
- Requirements: Works on the 12V and 24V Avionics bus.
- Compact design: Dimensions 59 × 50 × 17 mm, Weight 60 gr.

The adapter works flawlessly and fits perfectly. A quick tip for other users: On my Samsung S25 with Android, I had to enable location services for the adapter to be found immediately. With only Bluetooth enabled, my smartphone didn't detect the adapter for several minutes. As soon as I enabled location services, it was found within seconds, and adding it was seamless.
Reconnecting after turning off the radio or smartphone also works perfectly – the devices connect automatically and the frequency is transmitted immediately.
